South Facing

It had been a long hike down a breezy ravine in spring of 2009. On our return trip back to the car, I sat a moment against a large south-facing rock face. Despite the cool temperatures, the sun-heated spot was very pleasant and sheltered from the breeze. Ty tucked in between my legs for added warmth, Mak was curious about the surroundings. It was one of the priceless little moments we experience when we choose to share our lives with dogs.dscn1622
