Family

The day before Thanksgiving is one of the most traveled days of the year. Tomorrow is a time for togetherness and family. Of all the holidays, it’s my favorite because it’s a time of reconnection, food, sharing stories and laughs. All things very “Heroes ‘N Pirates!”

Now that my parents have died, my brother on the other coast, and since my extended family mostly lives in Europe, it’s just me and the dogs for most holidays. Sad, but as my 81 year old friend Roger says, “life changes.” I’d love to have tribe members nearby but I count my blessings. Roger and I get together to share food on frequent occasions and Lori and I are usually together for Christmas and New Year’s.

For this one though, it’s going to be me and the boys! 🙂 In a blurry but great shot, here we are last weekend in a hotel at the coast.img_0008-2
