Goethe Advises Me On Summer

So it’s the end of a two week vacation and I’ve been stuck studying.  No wilderness camping fun.  At least I’m somewhat interested in the material.  Overall I can’t bitch.  I’m (relatively) healthy, training is going (relatively) well, I’ve a loving dog who has recovered from his operation, and I’m on vacation for Pete’s sake.  A line from Goethe seemed particularly appropriate to these weeks of studying mixed in with short bits of fun:

“Enjoy when you can and endure when you must.”

Mak convalesces on his dog bed while I BBQ marinated chicken after training and swimming the pond.IMG_4509 (2)
