The Real Benchmark

“Love that isn’t inspired by the possibility of permanence is no sort of love at all. No one dreams of someday “hooking up.” We aren’t riveted by tales of lovers who are indifferent to the question of whether their relationships will last.  The real benchmark of love isn’t a matter of counting sighs but taking the measure of devotion.” – Eric Felton on Your Tangotumblr_n2p7tz7dpd1tqomr9o1_500 (2)

    1. As I’ve said so many times, it’s very time consuming to find images of masculine men expressing love. This one doesn’t quite do it for me, but I’m glad it worked for you.

Put “warriors” in the search bar and you get basketball players! BASKETBALL players for Chrissake! I can’t imagine anything farther from warriors. As Oliver Lafarge writes in Laughing Boy, comparing basketball players to battle exploits of Native American warriors, “…and where’s basketball compared to that?”

Oh to be tall like the knight in the image! 🙂 Thanks for reading.
