Despite solid rain… …the huge blaze I’d made the previous night left embers under larger charred logs. I blew on them to get them glowing.I rekindled a healthy fire – planning to then move it under the tarp. You can see how this spot of the fire had remained dry. Finally, the fire begun the previous night, relit and moved but still small, begins a third life, this time under shelter. It became the centerpiece of camp for the morning. Wet wood is laid before it to dry. April, 2016.
