January Thaw

When I took Mak out for his last pee-pee’s last night, it felt like spring.  Yes a little anxiety provoking given what we know about the climate, but still very pleasant!  The little snow we had long ago is gonzo and the ground was thawing and squishy.  I could smell the wood smoke from the wood stove.  A lightest of breeze and the warmth was bringing all the scents alive.  As I returned with an armload of wood I admired the moon peaking from behind the pines and a thin veil of clouds.  Had to go get the camera!IMG_9699crop

    1. The “smell of spring” hit me as soon as I went outside so it was hard to miss but it was getting late and I had to get to bed. But I deliberately took the time to run out with the camera and tripod. I’m weird like that!
