Run Through The Line

When I worked as a strength and conditioning coach we always urged athletes to “run through the line” during 40 yard dashes.  That is, don’t pull out of your sprint just as you cross.

In a different sense, my dogs have “run through the line” by running right up until my sense of their flagging enthusiasm prompted me to “retire” them.  Here was Ty in his last running year.  He was 10 y.o.a.

Jonesy ran for at least a couple years beyond this.  When he was 11 he ran 9 miles.S6300161
